Running my first half, due to cool temps would a drop bag be worthwhile to take? What all should I consider taking?

why no age provided

When I look at the results, I see a category listed "no age provided." To me this seems like a cheap way to earn awards. On some occasions the end times are impressive but, on the other hand, you can see for yourself. What do other runners feel about that??? I know, in my situation, I'll never win any awards in my age group, but, if I don't list my age, wow, I could be a contender.

I just wanted to say props to Neal and his staff for doing a great job with the races! I'm sure that everyone who has participated in any Hermes Race(s) will agree with me. It's 3 day safety clinic covering how to buy a bike, fit, what things you may need - helmets - tire changing and rules of the road... this is geared to new adult cyclists!! If you just want to ride and learn the basics this one is for you!! (not geared to racing)

Day 1 July 20 from 6-9 is class room - bring bike for fit review
Day 2 July 22 from 6-8 is class/handling @ ranger HQ
Day 3 July24 from 6-8 is a ride through the park distance tbd based on ability.

2009 Road Race Series

The 2009 Road Race Series is now open and full of improvements!

Scoring: We have restructured the scoring this year to reflect and encourage commitment and participation from runners of all abilities. Participants will get points for each race they participate in, as well as points based on finishing place.

Results: The new results templates make it even easier to keep track of your place! For an overview, you can view the summary report. For a breakdown of results and points race-by-race, view the details report.

New this year - the Series results will be updated the same day as the race.

Participation: Participation is up this year and more people = better competition.

What happened to Sunday morning races? This is the day that I always have ran most races. It seems like all the races are scheduled on Saturdays which I usually work... BOO HOOO =(
